| | | | | Maxxis High Roller II 26"New for 2011, Maxxis High Roller II (Descendant) " ... we are not yet sure if this tire will replace the High Roller or if it will be an all new tire. I can say that this tire was fully tested (by Peat, Minnaar, R. Cunningham, Lars Sternberg, Bryn Atkinson, and others) and they all felt that the tire was equal to or an improvement over the original High Roller in every performance category. Cornering traction was the biggest area of improvement, with braking improved as well. The transition was gradual, and the tire gave warning before breaking free (an area where the original High Roller suffers) ... " - Maxxis High Roller 2, also named 'Descendant'
- New 2011 improved DH version of High Roller
- Changed knob spacing for better transition and to reduce 'floaty' feel
- Improved braking performance
- Sipes on edge and centre tread giving better wet weather performance and mechanical grip.
- DH models have a tough 2-ply casing and butyl sidewall reinforcement
- 3C DH: hard base layer and two progressively softer top compounds for supreme grip and stability

EXO-PROTECTION Maxxis' new Reinforced Sidewall
An extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material added to the sidewalls. This densley woven fabric is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tyre remains unaffected. EXO protection is useful where there are rocky, treacherous trails and the risk of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.
